Minsang is a lighting artist with a unique blend of experience in craft, product design, and architectural lighting engineering. He began his career as a silversmith, then worked as a product designer and in-house lighting consultant before establishing his own lighting company.
While working for six years as a lighting consultant at Horea Lea, one of the UK's leading architectural engineering firms, Minsang received extensive training in lighting engineering. It was during his time at the firm that he developed a desire to establish his own lighting design practice, MSCHO Studio. Minsang envisioned a company that would provide comprehensive architectural lighting solutions with no gaps throughout the process.
Minsang's professional and educational background has equipped him with a deep understanding of additive manufacturing processes and mass production, as well as outstanding skills in the workshop. This exceptional blend of skills and experience enables him to develop design schemes that seamlessly merge technical and artistic elements of architectural lighting and custom luminaires.
Some of his recent clients include IKEA, LG Electronics, and SNCF, and he has showcased his work at prominent exhibitions such as Milan Design Week, Berlin IFA, Las Vegas KBIS, and Light and Building in Frankfurt.
